Aimpoint is known for its red dot optics, but in the early 2000s the company decided to develop a 3.5x fixed magnification traditional scope. It was intended for a French military trial, and Aimpoint used their 3x magnifier as the base for building it. They could easily still sell this today. They wouldn’t even have to change anything on the last version.
The second optic had a very ACOG-ish recital, I liked that one. And Ian, the base adjustment system works just fine on the ELCAN.

If you had a British Susat sight mount “Which you move the scope on – L/R & U/D, not the reticule” if you had a laser pointer, and attached it to said mount so you could move, move it as above on the mount. Then the laser hits a mirror, and gets projected through say a Sutsat sight minus the reticule per se. So essentially it is just a magnifier, that sits over the moving mount – This is done via it being attached to the same mount but on the rail part, so the moving bits, move inside; could you see the dot magnified and/or the dot looking above the scope I.e. Like a laser. Anyone think that would work, might not, but it has bugged me for 25 yrs. Would it work? If so, is that not better – It is a magnifier, and a pointer. Thought I had some sort of “genius” mofo moment there, 25 yr ago. But it might be nonsense, anyone know, can you bounce a laser off a mirror. I haven’t got a laser. I have a mirror eh. You get me, the laser is pointing at you from the front of the L/R U/D adjustable mount – Hits mirror though, as oppose your eye, and goes out towards the target. Be great if someone with a laser can bounce it off a mirror in America and let me know. Me? Aye, why would I buy a laser in England. To prove that? C’mon. I am not rich. Beer tokens.
Try it. Think about it, if it works – Why is that not good. It is a red dot, magnifier. You can drop, say you got shot or stabbed etc; Susat sights are “hard” as feck, hard to break.
I dropped an original L85 on it’s Susat trying to get out of a snatch landrover for my 21st birthday to have bricks thrown at me in a N.I riot – Heavy Sa80’s; stuck me at the time; that is really a tough sight, no damage… It honestly struck me, as being a thing – How tough it was. No bad thing.

Now… Take those “Laser guns” yes I am aware it is a movie, but take that jump in tech from the movies given dates… How do we end up using said guns, and it (A.I shall we say now) robo posse end up, making better ones.
