Developed in the late 1980s by machinist Robert Pauza, the P50 is a .50 BMG semiauto rifle that was introduced in 1990. It uses a short-stroke gas piston and tilting bolt closely copied (and scaled up) from the SVT-40 Tokarev. It has a single-stack, 5-round magazine, and a clever retained-but-freefloated bipod design.
The rifle was featured in the film Robocop 2, but this failed to give it the commercial success that I’m sure Pauza hoped for. Production numbers are unclear, but definitely less than 100 and probably less than 50. It went through three separate iterations, first made by Pauza Specialties in Baytown TX. It then moved to Freshour Manufacturing in Texas City TX, and lastly returned in the mid 20-teens through MG Arms of Spring TX. It is unclear if the second and third iterations actually involved any production beyond a few prototypes.
Thanks to Brandon Herrera for giving me access to this example to film for you! If you want to see some really good footage of it shooting, check out his video here:
“I’d buy that for a dollar!” Need a 6000 S.U.X to haul it to the range to complete the image.
Well you can see why it was “Robocop” at the time. If we reversed the lugs, and stuck a gas piston to the bolt as oppose the carrier… With a forward chamber port. Might gas not hit said piston, push it, but it then had to move the carrier via the lug shape… BANG!!! Gas hits piston, bolt trys to move… But carrier now is \ thus angle and so to move the carrier from a “surface” on the frame… Sort of Famas… So what would be the potential clever bit… Er… Gas… From the piston on the bolt, aye… Aye… Now hits the carrier – Via a stubby gas piston. Because to lift the carrier up, the bolt wants to go forward. Redirected gas. Trying to watch soccer here on JD at 01:15Hrs that is not what I thought orignially but… Maybe… Be back soon, hee… Point lose any weight we can from this, but hey it clearly works orignally looked like auto firing in a clip on this post almost. Might work. Mag thing, half rotary Johnson/mini belts… Will have to go through that again. It is ok this gun I think for pre Barrett lark.
The Famas thing upside down/backwards is sort of right I think… The other bit I added because it is .50Bmg… Sooo… What I am trying to doodle doo. 0 – 0 at min. Burp. Something thus but with more resistance, without springs/weight so much given cal.
Yes/no… Er… Right, so BANG!!! Gas hits bolt piston, pushes back… Round is pushing back also “So counter inuit, you no Eskimos…” But pushing back against carrier now via \ suface it pushes carrier up (Unlocking) but… Forward up… Not back, due tilt being applied at rear of bolt er piston is hinged does sort of jamathi finnish smg sloping thing… Carrier trying to move forward while going up tries to hit gas moving back… Mk1 along those lines. I can see this is right but wrong, stone age… Fred Flintstone car. Am getting though I think, hinged famas thingi but with two pistons and ports (Unimpressive?) not sure, depends… Depends… Nil, nil still.
Four wee stubby gas pistons I know… Hinged. Oooh, I see it… Burp
“Four(…)gas pistons(…)”
Please provide beyond reasonable doubt that using plurality of gas piston, as opposed to singular gas piston, gives useful advantages over later solution.
“(…)jamathi finnish smg sloping(…)”
Please define clearly said entity.
“(…)Mk1(…)”
Explain clearly how proposed solution was influenced by Mortal Kombat 1 video game.

If you need 12,7×99 NATO lever-delayed self-loading rifle then use ČZW 127 https://guns.fandom.com/wiki/%C4%8CZW_127
Actually. Got it. Thats it. Might, might not work. We use this but gas to, move the 1st piston which can’t because the other piston is being pushed back by the same gas; bullet leaves… KAPLUNK! “This might be a bad system, might not be try it, principle – Equilbilum… BANG!!! GAS!!! So movement back, but to move back that must be up and forward (Carrier mass) assisted by gas. A Catherine wheel sort of I.e. < Bosch gas thus, giving the pistons rearward rotary movement, but stopped by < Bossch gas above… Hey you've scored, YAY!!! Right out!
Wants to look like a MG42 like, but with a sort of rounded bulge in the middle, MG15 not this. Wants to look better, even if shitter in practice so scrap it’s not the 80’s when this Robocop look was acceptable.
“Bossch gas”
What is this?
Probably he meant ‘Bosch.’ French word for the Germans in the Great War.
Half time! Hee… So, what we do is this but not. Mg42 style, Johnson mag but with a belt “Not a very big belt, think we can sort that.” Action, tilting block gas delayed – How? Famas lever with two hinged stubby gas pistons at the top horizintally aligned, and two of the same below – Attached right a famas sort of half circle lark to the bolt. Ahhh… Ok… So BANG!!! Gas allowing bottom ones to go < bolt opens. No point unless lighter and smaller, other tham asthetics – I mean this gun is and ugly fecker isn't it. Thats not good 2026.
Complicated? For.556 maybe simple for .50Bmg.
It is basically right that, which isn’t bad in time frame on JD its the surfaces / exact angles, do that sober – Wants to all match you pissed cnut.
Might not wrk like, having 2nd thoughts, panic there thought badly wrong from what I thought… But no,because the top pressure applied will force the single locking ledge back down… Or stop it. Then… Kapulunk I think. Try it, have fun. You like us aren’t going to win Argentina at soccer are we, seems remote.
It’s an ugly fecker this gun though isn’t it, in the video I don’t like that. Mg42 lines suggests they are are good and someone somewhere might have an idea as to what the feck is going on.
Hi-Point! My mates! Lets do it. 399 bux.
The bolts upper pistons movement will totally ram them into the ports after lifting the carrier, they just have to catch it < back, And reposition. Can be done, peasants need .50 BMGs Space alliens in Texas or stuff. There mates will be back! He he.
“(…)not good 2026.”
As explained in description it is 1980s. This make it ColdWarEra design and therefore comparing it with designs belonging to ModernEra is simply not fair.
Dynamiters need dynamite – Monty Burns.
Still 1-0 nill not so bad that, burp. wd40. S’meh.
Could revolultionise hunting, I know the rounds are expensive… But… “Like now” won’t be with mass sales of .50Bmgs, how many Geese are there? Alot. I wouldn’t worry about it, theres millions here, thousands of miles away Canada Geese, big fat Christmas dinner mofos stop being fussy you are more or less Canada. BANG!!! 399. Christmas, praise Jesus.
Is it not a lack of Geese on tables preventing Martin Luther Kings Dream? But you say that that, what if it was? 399, try it, amen.
“(…)Canada Geese(…)”
Can you turn this fire-arm fast enough to track said moving target?
2 nill you might beat Argentina yet! 299 celebrate.
Litigation make a big fat bastard one like you, and downsize cunt muffin to scale. Schnell. Space Geese… Never know when you’d need .50Bmg Mg42… Styled… Stuff.
ARRRGH! A RACOOON!! ITS AN ALIEN DRONE. 299. Crank them out, spit.
(Thats not what I am aiming for, what I am aiming for is cover with machine guns in the military sense.) Trap you in a zeppin launched fibre optic drone nightmare. Only need 10 rnd belts, then. Heavy ammo. Ten here, ten there, with the damage done – Priceless.
“zeppin”
According to https://jisho.org/search/zeppin is superb piece of work; masterpiece; exquisite item; perfection; unique article why are you mating with “nightmare”?
Anyway I will shut up, but lets not make this blocky tetrus thing again.
I think your soccer team is quite good to be honest, they certainly try – Like Japan. Who are out, but… Was a good performance. Keep trying, who knows.
Anyway to any skeptics .50Bmgs produce excess gas, farts. Farters. And thus…
HEY!!! Hi. All sorts of problems from “DATA” not just what you expect, contours etc can mapped to the inch via jelly fish drones “With tenticles off like a jelly fish.” I put it to you, now. And everyone, that means everything has/or soon will change. They’ll nothing unkown to Google etc – Why? Do they ever want to know, they knew already our squalor rating aye Simpsons meant we could only buy certain footie tops. Relentless…
This had only 1 comment yesterday for few days, but after the comment freak appeared- quickly 33 !!
I saw a ‘One Man Band’ at a circus when I was a kid. A Japanese martial arts flick had a ‘One Man Army.’ Our Pdb is a one man debating society
It was annoying at first, but more and more it is getting impressive, a man is gonna become a legend and myth.
Oh, hello… World cup. Was pissed sorry. What was I on about… Oh right, feck me, pissed now. Anyhoo… Do you know, apart from needing a shit my guts tell me we are going to finally have issues with Vlad and Russia. Because his version is being wronged, and to sort that… Trouble.
Kind of like Kerouac on a roll. ‘At the Range,’ not ‘On the Road.’ And without that creepy bromance Dean Moriarty vibe
