Book Review: AK47 – The Grim Reaper by Frank Iannamico

Frank Iannamico’s recently published AK47 – The Grim Reaper is an excellent resource for AK collectors and enthusiasts. It covers all the production AK variants from about a dozen countries, which include virtually every type of AK that will be encountered in the US. Definitely a reference book worth having.

It has been one of those weeks, guys, and I apologize. I managed to not check Amazon before filming this review – they only have one used copy, and it’s crazy expensive. It appears the book is on back order awaiting another run from the publisher. I’m still posting the review because it’s a book worth waiting for, and you can find copies from book dealers at gun shows.

  1. Amazon doesn’t have a distribution relationship with the publisher Moose Lake Publishing. When Amazon doesn’t have new copies, folks assume the book is out of print and start charging scalper’s prices for used copies. The same holds true for titles from Collector Grade Publications and Heritage GunBooks, publishers of the Jerry Kuhnhausen gunsmithing series.
